After her death at the hands of The Master and a summer vacation spent with her father, Buffy returns to Sunnydale in a strangely withdrawn and snappy mood. She's also determined to break off her relationship with Angel and seems a little too eager to renew her Slayer training. But getting Angel out of her blood proves to be harder than she thought. And as the two draw even closer together, their passion erupts into a danger neither of them could have forseen - affecting not only Vampire and Slayer, but all of Buffy's friends and family, and even her Watcher...

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

A new season submitted by brady.emmett on July 27, 2011, 7:38am The show really finds its pace and place in the second season. We get lots of chemistry from all of the cast, as relationships are formed all over the place. We get Oz and Cordelia inducted to the Scooby Gang for reals, and Spike makes his first appearance. The overarching theme of the season is the Buffy / Angel relationship, which definitely has its moments.

On this disk, we start the season with mopey Buffy. She always mopes at the beginning of the season. It drives me nuts. She does eventually get over it. I love the Inca Mummy Girl episode.

Amazing! submitted by alumeng.ajl on July 28, 2013, 2:25pm When She Was Bad- I've never liked Buffy season premieres. This is a perfect example. Buffy is very annoying in this episode, and i just don't like her. This is just a bad episode.

Some Assembly Required- this episode is alright. It's not a standout, but it's not horrible. It's an interesting idea, but it will be done again and better later in the series.

School Hard- Spike! Spike and Drusilla are introduced in this episode! They're both amazing characters. They're fan favorites, and for good reason. They're just so spectacular. And this episode is pretty good, too. It's just so much fun. It's one of my favorite episodes, ever!

Inca Mummy GIrl- Oz! This is another episode that introduces a great character. Oz doesn't appear a lot, but he's still pretty awesome. Otherwise, this episode isn't great. It has ideas that have been used before and will be used again. And the actual Inca Mummy Girl is very annoying.

These episodes are fun. The best one is School Hard, but in the space of two episodes we meet two spectacular characters whom I love so much. It's a great start to Season 2.

Spike! submitted by llwalsh on July 7, 2014, 7:17pm On this disc, you'll find the episode that introduces you to Spike! You also get to see how shaken Buffy is from her last encounter with the Master.
