from an 8-year-old and 5-year-old submitted by robinfowler on July 25, 2020, 10:45am This book is good for people who like art. The message is kind of that anyone can be an artist if they really want to. The best part about the book might be that everyone can draw, and at the end it really shows that message good.
Encouraging Young Artists submitted by Meginator on July 22, 2021, 9:10pm This charming children’s book revolves around a simple, yet subtle message about the open-ended nature of artistic creation and the importance of trying. The words, which appear to be hand-lettered, and the illustrations, rendered in a sketchy style reminiscent of Quentin Blake amid vibrant pops of blended colors, gently reinforce the message that imperfection is itself a part of the artistic process. A lot of reticent artists will find a boost of confidence from this.
