Moving submitted by fka83111 on August 16, 2011, 4:29pm wow, this was a movie I liked cuz it portrayed reality

Not a comedy submitted by crazypockets on July 21, 2013, 1:49pm I'm not really sure why this is categorized as a comedy. It's more of a drama. There are a few amusing moments, but mostly it's a touching story about a friendship between two older people and how it develops slowly over time in an unlikely way. It's different from the usual race relation story in a lot of ways, so I liked it for its originality. There are a lot of cringe-worthy parts, but I dare you to not get teared up at the end.

love it submitted by Jackie77 on August 12, 2015, 11:55pm Fabulous movie! Great acting by the whole cast. Daisy's butler took very good care of her for years. Special bonds in this movie. Must see.

Comedy? submitted by Xris on March 28, 2022, 7:04pm I can see that some parts are comedic, but it's mostly a drama about Southern life in the 1950s and 1960s. And did I miss something that the police in Alabama knew that she was Jewish from her last name being a German derivation? She could have been a Christian German, or am I wrong? Sad the way things were, and wish it would be better than it is even now.

great submitted by cathydobbins on June 9, 2023, 11:13am An amazing movie with a great cast
