a bit dissapointed, but still pleasant to watch. submitted by Tassos on March 8, 2021, 11:43am I have not read the book on which it's based, I hope the book is far more serious and far less of a fantasy fairy tale.

I was hoping at the beginning of the movie that this would be a 1799 'who done it" crime movie, where an intelligent investigator exposes the true killer. INSTEAD, we have this silly fairy tale. Too bad. But still watchable.

Really enjoyed some of the old school performers like Ian McDiarmid, Michael Gambon and Michael Gough (also known as the Emperor, Dumbledore and Burton’s Alfred), but my favorite part was seeing Walken even more psychotic than usual.
