LOTR: Fellowship of The Ring dvd

This is an amazingly strong adaptation of the book and a fantastic movie in its own right. It's beautiful in set and costume and cinematography. The casting is pretty fantastic. I love the score. The Shire is bucolic, the Nazgul are creeptastic, Rivendell is gorgeously designed.

It's very welcoming and understandable to people who haven't read the books as well, which is really great.

This is the best LOTR movie of them all, it just gives the most information and leaves you wanting more, the others are GREAT too. If you haven't seen any of these films, get to it. They're awesome.

Having not read the books, I really enjoyed watching the movie and can sit watch them over and over

Best of the LOTR movies

in my opinion.

Fellowship of the Ring

This is possibly my favorite of the three Lord of the Rings movies. It's nice to see hobbits in their natural environment. Really, the story couldn't get any better and this movie is a good adaptation of the book.

The Best Movie in this series of movies

This is my favorite movie in the LOTR movies at least.
The book was good too
My second favorite was the Two Towers movie
But i haven't read that book yet
Then my third is the Return of the King
BUT i still like it and all the other movies to Infinity
And that movie has some of the best scenes
With some of my favorite characters
That i of course
Love to Infinity....

This movie's first hour or so is pretty boring, but don't let looks decive you. This movie is just flat out terrific.

This is a fantastic movie! It adapts from the book quite well. The first hour is a little slow (like the book), but it picks up and is a great movie!

Awesome Movie!

This is a great movie, even if you haven't read the book. We watched it in school, and we had a great time.

Great movie

This is a great movie

quite good!

I'd been puzzled the Oscars for these movies having read more about production than actually viewing cinema period! But, for action & adventure it does indeed mark a scale change, although to my mind? It's perhaps only the glorification of these the real problem two in particular Peter Jackson & Elijah Wood! The product is fine, but so based upon costuming, green screen landscape scenes, & setting art direction well? It's not acting is weak, just can't be faulted, which is better stated as good or well! As opposed? Solid even competent! You can't really be mad! Given chances equally fine works those greatness ascribed will go not noted! But as for the material? I'd found these series like "Indian in the Cupboard" particularly lacking appeal! However knowing there are those that swear by the fantasy portion or adventure side of action it's quite achievement!

This is one of the few cases the movies are as good as the books. This is the first movie in the series. Its a little long but worth watching for anyone.

really really good

amazing, addicting, action (me likey), heart pounding movie
