Good Covers, Not Exceptional submitted by Meginator on July 31, 2011, 10:25pm Even though I am a huge fan of Mandy Moore, I must confess that I was a bit disappointed with this album. Though I applaud her choice to get a bit of distance from the teeny pop label she had during this point in her career, I didn't feel like many of these covers broke any new musical ground either for the artist or with regard to the originals. They are serviceable, surely, and Moore certainly has a wonderful, powerful voice, but this became for me just another album of covers rather than particularly standing out. "Senses Working Overtime" was my favorite cut of the bunch, for what it's worth.
