meh. fails to hold interest submitted by KSB2013 on July 4, 2013, 12:03pm My daughter received this book as a gift. It is of the genre she likes (8.5 yrs old) and the right reading level yet she doesn't feel compelled to finish it. For a girl who likes books this says a lot.

This book is excellent! Clarice Bean is a very funny character who gets herself in some wacky situations. she tries to solve mysteries like her favorite character Ruby Redfort, and when the winners trophy gets stolen, and her book project partner is wrongly accused, it's up to her and her best friend Betty Moody. Very funny. i'd recommend this for third and fourth graders especially.
