COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Banister - as in Sliding Down The submitted by schoenbaechlere on June 28, 2011, 9:07pm There is a lot of movie packed into 94 minutes. Hardly a dull moment throughout. Well worth the time for a lot of laughs.

A Gem! submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2021, 8:58am This film, a 1970s tribute to classic screwball comedies, is absolutely hilarious and I have no idea why it took so long to come across my radar. Barbara Streisand and Ryan O’Neal have amazing chemistry that papers over the sheer improbability of their characters’ connection and the nonstop action provides one laugh-out-loud moment after the next as a series of misunderstandings and mishaps culminates in a fantastic chase scene through the streets of San Francisco. A couple of jokes don’t land particularly well in the modern era, but these are few and far between and the sense of humor is very accessible to modern audiences. This is a hidden gem that is well worth seeking out if you enjoy madcap comedy and just a hint of romance.

Soooo funny! submitted by Diananana on June 17, 2022, 9:51pm The plot weaves together the stories of four identical suitcases that finally come together in an uproarious and totally wacky ending. Streisand and O'Neal are great together. Madeline Kahn is outstanding in her debut role. Watch this when you need to laugh.
