Enjoyed it submitted by hbc414 on August 20, 2013, 7:21am The second book in Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files is another light but enjoyable read. Harry is called upon by Murphy to examine a body. The FBI is involved. Chaos ensues.

Fun read submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on August 26, 2013, 9:11am It's almost embarrassing to like these so much. They're the urban fantasy version of a chick-lit beach read: fast, action-packed, entertaining, and fun to read.

They can also be incredibly formulaic. Just over half way through this one, completely out of the blue, Dresden met his unconscious self: just like him but sharper, sexier, more confident, and wittier. And lo and behold, a lucid conversation WITH said unconscious self turned around everything Dresden thought he knew about this particular mess, and set him on the right track. Talk about deus ex machina.

Still, you can tell the author had fun researching all the different worldwide myths regarding werewolves. That made it a really fun read.

More Action in the Dresden File series submitted by pamhockey25 on July 29, 2021, 11:18am Fool Moon is the second book in the Dresden File series. This story takes place about six months after the end of Storm Front. This book introduces more characters that I think we will continue to follow as the series progresses--werewolves. I continue to enjoy the series, and my friend tells me that these books get better as they go on. I am reading them in order and am looking forward to reading more books in this series.
