What an impressive cast submitted by ccrose on August 12, 2019, 4:09pm Based on a short story by Tennessee Williams, it was impressive in its 1950's day for a couple of things:
Elizabeth Taylor in a white slip. I know, things were moving very slowly toward people with less clothes on, verry slowly
Paul Neuman, the guy whose salad dressing you buy. He was considering good looking, broody type he won academy awards a lot.
Finally, the plot: I'll cut to the most important part. It took the entire movie to get Neuman to say he, uh ,loved a guy.
Oh Lordy. but the acting is wonderful. Yes, people speak with a southern accent; well, we all speak with some kind of accent, you may just not realize it.
