Strange Little Book, but daughter loved it! submitted by aynsley on June 22, 2021, 12:10am I decided to check out some additional books by this author, as she penned my favorite book of all time: The Brothers Lionheart. Although Lindgren is best known for the Pippi Longstocking series. I still can't quite decide if I like Mirabelle or if I find it creepy or both! It's not meant to be creepy, so as long as your kid isn't inherently afraid of dolls, it will probably be delightful...because this one grows and comes to life, like a Cabbage Patch Kid. My 4-year-old asked me to read it several times, and I didn't let on that I thought it was a little creepy. :-)
