One of my favorite tellings of Cinderella submitted by alleywater on August 31, 2019, 9:17am Such a beautiful movie with an outstanding cast! Brandy was the perfect fit for Cinderella and Bernadette Peters soured in the role of the stepmother. I think my favorite part of this movie is the costume, they truly brought to life the village and kingdom as a vibrant fairytale place.

Great Cast submitted by Meginator on June 12, 2021, 9:50am This charming iteration of the traditional Cinderella story gets its magic from its casting, with Brandy taking center stage. The musical numbers are catchy and the performances are excellent, although the score doesn’t always feel as coherent as it could be. The story plays out as expected with few surprises, which also means few unique touches, but the cast is good enough to carry the film regardless. It’s also refreshing to see a nonwhite couple as the hero and heroine, making this a solid version of an oft-told tale.
