Shop Around The Corner submitted by SBNB on June 26, 2014, 12:31pm I love the newer “You’ve Got Mail”, and so it was fun to see the original version.

This movie has become one of my Christmas favorites along with Christmas in Connecticut.
So different than You've Got Mail.
One of my favorite Christmas movies submitted by A2AE on July 19, 2021, 8:09pm After seeing this at the Michigan Theater in December one year it became a favorite Christmas film of mine. What's not to love about Jimmy Stewart, playful pen pals, and a rom-com that unfolds to a warm and cozy happy ending?
A Classic Premise Slightly Let Down By Its Script submitted by Meginator on August 11, 2021, 4:51pm This classic romantic comedy stars some familiar faces in what is now a somewhat standard secret correspondent plot, but as one of the first it (mostly) stands the test of time. The leads have convincing chemistry even when they are at odds, even though the script doesn’t particularly play up the tension between them until the second half of the film. The script has an excellent balance of comedy and drama, with a few laugh-out-loud moments and a particularly funny arc for a young side character. I do prefer other takes on this particular trope, but you still won’t go wrong with this classic.
AN AWESOME MOVIE, too bad there is too little of it! A MASTERPIECE.... A CLASSIC, lives centuries after it was made.

An EXTREMELY GOOD FILM, one of the best movies EVER. Too bad it is too short for those who enjoy it! VERY WITTY!
It is FAR superior to the remake with Hanks and Ryan "You got mail", but it makes one see that too.
