Doesn't pull punches submitted by jgerman79 on July 28, 2020, 8:53pm As with the Addy series of American Girl Books, the Kaya series does not shy away from the harsh realities girls of Kaya's time may have faced. I wouldn't say this one went too far, but it went right up to the line. Regrets, guilt, hard decisions, loss, and gain. It's a rough ride, but worth reading.
