Jam! submitted by crazypockets on August 11, 2013, 3:59pm I watched this movie as a kid and enjoyed it every bit as I do now as an adult. Of course I didn't get a lot of the references, but it's still a great coming-of-age story set in England during WWII. It really gave me a good understanding of what children went through living so close to the war and how they processed what was happening. It doesn't make a lot of grand generalizations about war in general, but just focuses on the day to day lives and what children usually focus on, just set in a war context. It'll certainly never let you look at a jar of jam the same way ever again.
