Irish legend submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on July 23, 2013, 11:56pm "Child of the Prophecy" is the third of the Sevenwaters series about a Pagan family in Ireland using magic to protect their land and its inhabitants--both human and supernatural. Fainne, a family member of Sorcha, tells how her cruel grandmother sends her to destroy the rest of her family or the grandmother will kill Fainne's father will die.
Fainne has a physical disability, which she believes is the result of her parents' incestuous relationship. In time, Fainne learns to accept and even love herself and her family. She becomes the new guardian of the land and finds a man who loves her.
