In Morality for Beautiful Girls, Precious Ramotswe, founder and owner of the only detective agency for the concerns of both ladies and others, investigates the alleged poisoning of the brother of an important "Government Man," and the moral character of the four finalists of the Miss Beauty and Integrity Contest, the winner of which will almost certainly be a contestant for the title of Miss Botswana. Yet her business is having money problems, and when other difficulties arise at her fiance's Tlokweng Road Speedy Motors, she discovers the reliable Mr J.L.B. Matekoni is more complicated than he seems.

One of My Favorite Mysteries submitted by Sara W on August 26, 2011, 10:53pm The actual mystery (or mysteries) in a No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency isn't usually my favorite part. They are fine, but I'm awfully wrapped up in the characters at the agency and the garage and those are usually the plots that l am most interested in. This investigation of the Miss Beauty and Integrity pageant stands out as one of the mysteries I enjoyed the most. Possibly because of Mma Makutsi and Charlie the apprentice's conflicting interests in the outcome.

Really enjoyable submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on August 14, 2013, 9:05pm Y'know... I just like these. They are book candy, for sure, but with far more interesting content than most of the fluffy chick lit/ beach-read kind of stuff that is out there. I'm glad the library has the series, because I'll keep working my way through them in between other books on my "to read" shelf.

Morality for Beautiful Girls submitted by mk31 on August 5, 2014, 10:45am This book was not quite as good as the first two in the series, but I still enjoyed reading it. The two main mysteries in the book are intriguing, and the characters are wonderful.

Good Title submitted by kferguson on August 18, 2016, 3:44pm Smith is bringing us morality tales
