A school shooting, submitted by ccrose on August 28, 2019, 5:21pm Two girls are cornered in a bathroom. The shooter taunts them. One girl dies, the other doesn't.

There is no plot twist if you read the inner cover submitted by sushai on June 23, 2020, 10:46am I really liked the premise and especially how it was handled by the author. The creepy, surreal falling-apart of a perfect world fits with my love of things macabre and dark. The symbolism and foreshadowing is a bit heavy-handed at times, but overall I think her writing, which I saw in another interview someone referred to as "gauzy" fits perfectly with the theme. I see there is a movie version, which I will probably watch and be disappointed in.
