Introduction to Ramadan and Islam
submitted by willow on August 5, 2015, 11:07am
This book provides a detailed look at both the religious underpinnings and practical aspects of the Islamic month of fasting, Ramadan, and Eid al-Fitr, the celebration to mark its ending by focusing on one American Muslim boy (who fasts) and his family.
Besides his parents and siblings, also shown are his extended family, both maternal and paternal, consisting of his Egyptian mother and grandmother and his father, American paternal grandma, and paternal Bosnian grandpa, and a fair number of cousins.
