Ok submitted by rimpopu on July 28, 2014, 7:00pm If you like Strega Nona where Big Anthony steals the magic pot and it goes out of control then you will like this book too. The idea is similar.
Anansi and the Magic Stickv submitted by VanCancue on August 19, 2020, 2:58pm It is similar to variety of old folk tales where the magic goes out of control when you steal it and don't learn how to stop it. We were reminded of the broom in the sorcerer's apprentice or vaguely to the pot that never stopped cooking pasta. However the illustrations and the story in the Kimmel, Eric A. adaptions of ashanti tales are fun. I'm not sure we really enjoyed seeing the two people (author and illustrator) among the animals. But it' always fun for the kinds to look for something hidden in these adaptations.
