Great album, though not by Monk submitted by rgz on January 16, 2022, 9:37am This is a great album that is mistakenly catalogued under Thelonious Monk. The genius does not even appear on the album -understandably, because he had passed six years earlier. BTW, this was originally released in 1988.

It is an album that may be most appreciated by Monk enthusiasts, and perhaps that is the intent. An "additional credits" listing would do it better, although at least three other musicians are also missing there.

Happy this is in our collection. It is an excellent recording on which McRae sounds as great as she ever did, and the same for the musicians.
