Love it! submitted by Sonia on June 29, 2011, 5:42pm The matrix is a classic everyone should watch. The characters and the action is awesome. I can watch this trilogy over and over again with out getting bored. Each time you watch it you notice something different about the alternate reality. A must see!

Digital Age Classic submitted by crazypockets on August 11, 2013, 1:40pm I agree with Sonia that I could watch this over and over. Some of the action and CGI is a little dated now, but it's still a terrific sci-fi movie that completely blew our minds back then which is the mark of a great movie. Red pill or blue pill? People bending backwards in slow motion. Jumping over and into buildings. There are so many great scenes in this!

Whoa! submitted by beeniepie on August 11, 2013, 2:53pm This is such a classic and a must-see. Every actor pulls their weight in this excellently crafted film.

Great Movie submitted by Ilyjtwya on June 20, 2014, 6:39pm This film was so groundbreaking, and I still think it great!

well.. submitted by smgop on June 22, 2014, 9:44am great plot but I can't get past Keanu Reeves!

Amazing! submitted by xiwang on June 23, 2014, 12:56pm One of my favorite movies of all time. It's really deep and thought provoking.

A Must See submitted by rmhawkins on June 24, 2014, 8:10pm This is one of my absolute favorite movies. Few movies have so brilliantly re-envisioned the technical aspects which could be brought to the screen. The screenplay is first rate and makes you reconsider the world you live in.

Matrix submitted by SBNB on July 17, 2014, 10:28pm Great movie! It's one of those movies that you must see at least once in your life.

matrix submitted by leenajong on August 12, 2017, 8:05pm Amazing.. love it.

Anime in real life submitted by valjean on August 26, 2018, 11:25am This is the first movie to come to the west that really encapsulated all the great things about anime. If you are an anime fan, you probably won't be _as_ impressed by this movie like most people. However, they did a spectacular job with the action (so even if you've seen a lot of anime you will appreciate the great martial arts and gun and wirework) and the story (so even if you've experienced a lot of sci-fi, you will appreciate their take on 'what is actually your reality?'). This type of near-silent, irked and confused, yet combat proficient, protagonist is perfect of Keanu Reeves (you can see more of this in John Wick). Lawrence Fishburne is perfect, somehow containing his normally huge and bombastic nature, his vitality making the real world feel like it has more potential than the Matrix. It's a classic.
