Highway to the 80s Zone submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2021, 8:10am I’ve admittedly never seen this film, but the soundtrack offers a pretty solid idea of the movie’s tone, if not its storyline and emotional beats. The songs are straight out of the mid-1980s, making for a fun and energetic listening experience regardless of the additional context. The Top Gun theme also has an iconic feel to it, and it fits in perfectly with the more traditional pop songs to bring the whole album together. This is a snapshot in time, if nothing else, and it’s pretty fun.
