COMMUNITY REVIEWS

I was wrong. submitted by crwilley on August 23, 2013, 7:49am I would have told you that I didn't like bluegrass. At all. Not one little bit. This is the music that convinced me otherwise.

Apalachia; depression; bluegrass submitted by lisa on July 23, 2018, 5:39pm Very nice. Excellent artists on this one.

More Than Just a Soundtrack submitted by Meginator on July 22, 2021, 8:43pm This soundtrack is a vibrant celebration of US folk music, using a variety of performers to ensure that each track hits just right. From a cappella gospel to full-ensemble bluegrass, the tracks encompass a good range of genres and styles (though not without some significant omissions), and each one emanates out of a shared and central desire to tell a good yarn. Even without the context of the film, the album works as a tribute to the roots and continuing influence of old time music.
