Everyone Doesn't Have to Be Normal submitted by DBJC on June 3, 2008, 3:58pm Stargirl. That was the name of the girl Leo saw. She was unusual to him...always carried a ukulele and knew everyone's birthday. It creeped him out just a bit. He didn't want this girl to sing on his birthday; coming over to his table with her big, blue eyes, sandy hair and weird clothing. He asked her not to, and she didn't.

Stargirl is an excellent book about not being like everyone else. What's it like to be someone who doesn't care about what people think of you. You're always happy no matter what, and you do everything to make everyone else happy. Read it. You'll enjoy it.

Elusive submitted by vmclaugh on June 27, 2011, 9:32am This is a timeless book about a girl who doesn't fit in-and is proud.

Lovely submitted by marisal on June 29, 2011, 1:03pm I loved this book and I can't see why you wouldn't love it too if you read it.

Stargirl submitted by LuckyDuck on July 12, 2011, 2:43pm Original and nice

Amazing submitted by sophie104 on July 15, 2011, 5:24pm A really unique book.

Like my life submitted by smv on August 17, 2011, 4:36pm This book is a reminder of my life, yet in an odd way. My life is a maze of passages and detours, yet Jerry Spinelli's writing triumphs in this classic tale of a person who attracts all, yet none.

Awesome submitted by ECReader on June 16, 2013, 12:46pm This book was really good. I think you should read it!

awesome submitted by bookworm12345 on June 17, 2013, 1:12pm awesome book about being yourself

Unique submitted by wind spirit on June 25, 2016, 12:21pm I thought this book did a great job of showing that it's okay to be different, to stand out from everyone else. It also shows the importance of being true to yourself and not trying to be someone your not. It's an amazing book, and I hope you read it.

Helped me through teens submitted by missdehlia on August 25, 2017, 2:10pm This was my favorite book during my early teens and really helped me realize being different is a good thing and to embrace it. I recommend it to any teen (or adult!)

Uplifting, like a reverie submitted by EJZ on July 23, 2018, 8:44pm Wonderful, uplifting, and humorous. If you don't already know a Stargirl, you will someday, and maybe you'll understand her more after reading this book. Sure, it's a teen novel, but it's satisfying even to an adult reader.

good submitted by liqian on August 30, 2018, 9:31pm it was very funny

Fun read submitted by minghsuan on August 22, 2019, 10:37pm I'm not entirely sure if all these do happen in real life, but I liked the message the book conveys, and some parts are really hilarious.

Pretty good submitted by LJaiganesh on July 10, 2022, 12:27pm This book is pretty good, I personally wouldn't read it more than once, though.

Couldn’t put down submitted by SadieRose on July 8, 2023, 11:11am My 13 year old daughter loves this book. She couldn’t put it down.
