Metheney with an Orchestra submitted by Meginator on August 24, 2020, 8:37pm This soundtrack is an interesting counterpoint to Pat Metheny’s other work, taking his signature style and placing it in an orchestral context. Metheny is as virtuosic as ever, his featured guitars layered nicely over underlying harmonies in the strings, and the overall effect is enthralling and interesting all at once. This album succeeds in its own right, a soundtrack that feels like a musical exploration for its own sake as much as it is an accompaniment to a film.
