Dementers are scary!

But, I suppose that's the point. Good read!

Great for kids and adults

wonderfully imaginative and paced for quick reading. Another great in a great series.

Great book, but this one gets scary for younger readers

From a "when do we read it to our kids" perspective: Not for a while! This one is frightening right from the start, and the first dementor shows up in chapter 5. Harry is in a great deal of personal danger and constantly directly under threat by a presumed murderer and prison escapee throughout the book. It'll be a while before our high-stress kid is ready for this one. (We are not reading it with our 8 1/2 year old, though I know a few parents who do.)

Best of all Harry Potter

This is, to me, the best of the Harry Potter books. It has time travel, a hippogriff, and Hermoine punches Malfoy in the face.Yay!

This is an action packed book that you would love. Just wait till you get to the end of the book when they disperse the rumors going all around through out Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic!

Harry Potter

Those who, like myself, love Harry Potter will also love learning what author J.K. Rowling has said happened to the characters after the end of the last novel. A collection of those statements are available at http://www.buzzfeed.com/ellievhall/28-things-that-happened-after-the-harry-potter-books-ended
