Excellent submitted by Daniel Saltzman on January 4, 2010, 2:16pm A wonderful book written as a parallel to Ender's Game, this time from Bean's perspective. Focuses more on politics, history, and macro-psychology than the micro-psychology of Ender's Game. The sequels, unlike those of Ender's Game, have no major time skip between them.

Amazing Parallel submitted by 0liviap0pp on June 24, 2011, 8:29am Ender's Shadow is a captivating book that makes the words come alive.

Awesome submitted by faiyafrower on July 4, 2011, 7:43pm For anyone who has read Ender's Game, this is an amazing perspective of the story through Bean's eyes.

Tiniest Detail submitted by porglezomp on July 8, 2011, 11:07pm Card deals beautifully with his parallel novel, and makes use of the tiniest details in Ender's Game, expanding them in ways that he most likely never intended. He completes this juggling act well, and his success is admirable, since he must keep nigh 100 juggling balls in the air. He has kept his characters the same, and by showing them in a different light, has given you a better idea of who they all really are. Excellent.

Bean submitted by DBJC on July 26, 2011, 6:45pm A "parallax" to Ender's story, Ender's Shadow is a grea look into, well, Ender's shadow. The title will probably not mean much to someone that has not read Ender's Game, but the story will still be incredible. Orson Scott Card is truly the master of storytelling.

Good Read submitted by hahahame on July 24, 2017, 7:58pm Very good book - I love the Ender's series.

Not a fan submitted by brszym on August 11, 2020, 9:38pm Loved the original, but the shadow series didn't manage to capture my interest

Read Ender’s Game first submitted by denisekim on July 22, 2023, 4:24pm This is a companion book to Ender’s Game. If you loved Ender’s Game, you will thoroughly enjoy Ender’s Shadow which tells the same story from the perspective of Bean. I loved learning more backstory and new details and explanations from this book.
