Cool Clarity submitted by Meginator on July 4, 2020, 12:14pm These tracks have an exceptionally natural overall vibe; you can tell that everyone in the ensemble is completely tuned in to everyone else, even in the solo sections. Davis’s trumpet is beautifully smooth, and he allows himself plenty of space to develop his ideas; his genius is on full display, but it is never ostentatious. The resulting jazz has a cool clarity, seldom matched, making this an essential, timeless album.

Was reminded... submitted by Steve Amick on August 8, 2021, 11:35pm ... of this when the languidly (sometimes cringingly) hep Detective Bosch recommended it in the middle of an episode. The moment felt so contrived and shoved in, and unnecessary, but probably equally as unnecessary as me recommending. It's Miles. What can Detective Bosch or I add to that?
