So good submitted by jcottey on August 17, 2019, 8:06pm The author remembers her childhood of not being able to read due to unrecognized dyslexia. The teacher who saw the truth and helped her read forged an amazing connection with his student.
lesson for teachers! submitted by gracebdo on August 18, 2019, 8:29pm this was a really great book about bullying prevention and notice by teachers and also a teacher pushing their student to their full capacities, while also not ignoring that student's particular difficulties or struggle with the material

I was bullied as a kid for not knowing how to read. Literally this book gave me hope! I love love love this book.
It made me feel less alone!
It is an amazing book and I wish more students read it in elementary school, to normalize academic challenges and differences.
