Light but good

It was a fine and lovely book. I think the thing I liked most about it is that I've done quite a bit of reading about the Civil Rights movement, Jim Crow, and segregation as it has affected African Americans, but not very much about how discrimination has affected other groups. This was (even if in novel form) an interesting perspective. I mean, it's not like a Black child could very often pretend to be White just to see how the "other side" lived/vacationed, right?
But that's just what Natalie Marx does, and it sparks a fascinating set of friendships, interactions, and relationships as she negotiates the boundaries between her family, friends, workplaces, dates, and vacation hosts. There's nothing like a challenge.
