Missy Elliott’s trademark flow and attitude are on full display here, with a laid-back confidence that makes for easy listening.

Hard To Overstate It's Importance submitted by jibkidder on July 3, 2022, 1:23pm When this dropped on MTV it sent shockwaves. Missy is a very charismatic artist who broke all the molds. I feel like, not unlike Nirvana, she had her ear to the street and brought to the mainstream many things that were fermenting in the underground. In particular, I have heard she was very much inspired by the work SMK did with the Memphis rap group Indo G and Lil Blunt, who put out a full length on Luke Records.
