It Could Have Been So Much Better

From their highly prolific period, in which John, Paul, and George were writing a lot of material that didn't get waxed, Anthology 3 is in that sense a treasure trove. Especially from a George point of view, because it features the original version of "Not Guilty" (a great rocker that appeared in a much softer version on his 1979 eponymous album) and an acoustic version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," which recently showed up on The Beatles' Love.

The reason I say this could have been so much better is because as all Beatles fans hopefully know, during those disastrous Get Back sessions, the tapes were constantly rolling and The Beatles were constantly playing both their songs and standards (a lot of Abbey Road songs surfaced at Get Back.) A few of those made it here, but more are yet unreleased. Unfortunately, because McCartney talked about how they got "Half-way through" editing the Let It Be movie for DVD, he said it called up too many bad memories and seemed to hint it might be a while before that movie shows up.
