From Edgar Award-winning author Laurie R. King, this national bestseller has met unprecedented acclaim from critics as diverse as "The New York Times Book Review": " a lively adventure in the very best of intellectual company". The case of an amateur archaeologist whose discoveries in the Holy Land may have resulted in her murder, this novel finds the inimitable duo of Russell and Holmes in superlative form.

Fun, clever mystery submitted by jaromatorio on July 24, 2020, 11:03am I love this series! It feels very true to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes while updating the character and his surroundings for a more modern era (and adding a very cool and clever female lead)! Would definitely recommend!
Enjoyable! submitted by thesrays on July 17, 2022, 8:06pm First off, if you haven't read the first two books in this series....read them first. After you do, you'll find yourself in an enjoyable case intermingling Palestine, archeology, red herrings, and the redoubtably partnership of Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes.
