Wonderful submitted by Daniel Saltzman on January 10, 2010, 9:58am The first in the Lost Years of Merlin series, this book, unlike the Arthurian tales, focuses on how Merlin came to be the most famous wizard of the Western world. Starting at birth and ending at young adulthood, the series is original, fantastic, and memorable.

Nice Start submitted by wzhang1 on July 28, 2011, 12:35pm An excellent first book.

Loved this book as a kid! submitted by lbootzin on July 20, 2015, 2:36pm Wonderful intro to the world of fantasy. Merlin's backstory revealed as imagined by TA Barron.

On "The Lost Years" submitted by Josephine Speyer on May 28, 2023, 7:44am Quite good, although I couldn't get used to hearing him called Emrys.
