Amazing submitted by KMLB64 on July 31, 2019, 12:27am Frank McCourt tells the story of his utterly destitute childhood in Ireland with warmth and humor. I'm amazed that with his diet, he grew up to become so accomplished and a teacher in the United States. Highly recommend for teens and adults. Even my grandparents loved it. It was made into a movie, too.

Not really a fun book submitted by tbbrown76 on June 20, 2020, 9:17pm Siblings die. Dad drinks. I guess it's an important book, but not an easy read subjectwise.
I moderately recommend for more mature readers, even though it is written from a kid's perspective.
