Great! submitted by Margaretta on July 27, 2011, 11:37am I used to love these books!

good submitted by karenkay on July 28, 2011, 3:55pm Jack and Annie (brother and sister) discover a tree house that can take them any place in the books inside the tree house. They meet Morgan, the owner of the tree house, who is a magical librarian. In each book, they are given a puzzle to solve and a reference book that helps them. They explore science and history in the process of solving these puzzles. Some of the books were a bit scary for my kids. Generally, Jack and Annie work well together but there are times when Annie makes poor decisions that get them into trouble. A good way to sneak in some teaching in a reasonably entertaining and inoffensive manner

Wow submitted by xjasx on June 16, 2012, 11:48pm Haha this is such a good series, I loved reading these when I was a kid

Great Series submitted by mysterio on June 28, 2012, 1:57am The Magic Tree House series brings back so many great memories. I remember reading these books when I was in the third grade and they were my favorite books. Everyone in my class was so into these books, they wouldn’t let go of them. These books are action-packed, full of adventure, filled with astounding twists and turns, and sometimes give the reader a nice laugh. Not only do they entertain the reader, but they also give tons of information about history. The storylines aren’t all that bad, either. I think it’s a nice way to educate our young ones. The series is a very interesting mix of fiction and nonfiction. Sometimes, I even find myself skimming through the books just for a nice, quick, twenty-minute read. I bought a few of the books when I was younger and now I’ve passed them on to my younger sister. She not only loves the series, but she is determined to read the entire series. I also appreciate the fact that the author, Mary Pope Osborne, is still writing books in the Magic Tree House series. Each book is a simple chapter book, ranging from seventy pages to one-hundred twenty pages. I would definitely recommend this entire series to anyone from kindergarten to fourth grade (based on the individual’s reading level, of course).

cool submitted by gzheng on June 20, 2013, 2:46pm i like the titles of these series

RECOMENDED!!!!! submitted by Yingchen on June 24, 2013, 11:42am I loved the series and I think I have read the whole collection and I love this book closest to my favorite one in the series, because in this book they find out who owns the tree house and then the adventure really starts.

Awesome submitted by maforbes on July 3, 2013, 8:57am It's very entertaining. It has magical adventures and it makes you feel like you are in a world of magic. It makes your mind grow. I like the characters. I love how it ends.

Good series submitted by lulumama on July 6, 2013, 9:17pm My son really liked this series. They are really formulaic so they start to get old for the adults reading it.

Magic Treehouse submitted by Lila F. on June 17, 2018, 4:15pm I would totally reccomend this series!

Good Series submitted by Lmin on June 24, 2018, 2:51pm I remember reading this series as a kid and loving it! Jack and Annie take you into a journey through time and meet friends, both human and animal. These books are great for fans of the Time Warp Trio and readers looking for an easy jump into chapter books.

Pirates submitted by JY 2005 on August 25, 2018, 8:54pm Jack and Annie meet pirates and find treasure.

Nice addition to the series! submitted by wookeny on June 19, 2019, 9:16pm In this book there are pirates trying to attack Jack and Annie. They defend themselves, and try to fulfill their mission Merlin gave. Can they, or can they not? Read the book to find out!

Love this series! submitted by TLW1998 on July 10, 2019, 11:09pm A fun to read book for both adults and children. My 4-year old loved it.

good submitted by .-.-.-. on July 14, 2020, 11:44am Amazing. One of my favorites in the series. The plot is amazing. 5/5 stars.

Magical and fun submitted by LILSCHILL on August 25, 2021, 1:56pm My daughter loves listening to these stories at bedtime. We just finished this one, and she's anxiously waiting to see what will happen to Jack and Annie next!

Super fun! submitted by luveu96 on June 23, 2022, 9:13pm I read this book twice, I think. It was awesome! Jack and Annie go on adventures together. Annie believes in magic and wants to try everything. Jack, on the other hand is complete opposite. He wants to take notes and read information from the book, not look at the real thing. And, he is nervous to try new things.

My 4 year old has made me read this out loud 5+ times submitted by laurat on June 27, 2022, 12:22pm Not my favorite among the Magic Treehouse books but my 4. year old is completely obsessed.

Awesome! submitted by Abbie D. on July 7, 2022, 11:51am Great series!

Aaaarrrrrggghhhh (But Yeah This One Is Good) submitted by Meginator on August 27, 2022, 7:16pm This is a first-rate Magic Tree House adventure, and it does some acceptable hand-waving for the most egregious deux ex machina moments in the previous adventures by introducing the history and purpose of the magic tree house itself, and its mysterious owner. The magical element works quite well and nicely ties together the opening quartet while leaving room for plenty of further adventures. Beyond that, Jack and Annie’s run-in with a group of treasure-seeking pirates is based more on Robert Louis Stevenson’s imagination than on actual history (a rarity for a series that generally shows a surprisingly strong commitment to historical fact) but still has plenty of excitement and actually features the central siblings making meaningful choices that affect the plot rather than the plot guiding them along. Altogether, the book functions rather well as a pivot and shows that these books have a lot of potential as Jack and Annie continue to travel the world.
