Another look submitted by lilpup on July 12, 2012, 12:22am For those who only know Andy Rooney as the late resident curmudgeon of television's stalwart news magazine 60 Minutes, My War should merit Rooney a reconsideration. As a young field reporter in the European theater of operations for the military newspaper Stars & Stripes, Rooney, like other reporters of the time, was subject to censorship and so couldn't write of his full experience. Here he relates some of those experiences, "my war" as he saw it, uncensored, as he remembers it.
