Character, trauma, recovery submitted by mowjac on July 13, 2018, 4:31pm While part of an extended series, each book in the Vorkosigan series can be read singly. This was my first venture into this universe and it was amazing. Mark is trying to find himself and ends up screwing up in a HUGE way. He then faces who he really is and discovers that he is capable of more than he ever imagined. It has all the trappings of space opera with a really good character driven story. Highly recommended, especially for soldiers, teens and anyone who likes a good adventure.
