COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Fun and fabulous submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 22, 2012, 2:07pm I love all of Armistead Maupin's books, especially the "Tales of the City" series. With each book I'm keen to see how Anna Madrigal, Mary Ann Singleton, Mona, Mouse and the rest will fare.
Start with "Tales of the City" and work through the books chronologically so you'll understand the complex plots and character development.
The series is full of compelling page-turners with mystery, romance and surprise. The characters draw you in. For those who lived through the 1970s, the series will feel like a homecoming. Set in San Francisco, "Tales of the City" and its sequels explores the lives of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) characters and their straight friends.
