I'd highly recommend this book to anyone embarking on the journey of parenthood.

How I wish I'd had this book when my first child was born! Anne Lamott captures the incredible stress, terror, fear, adoration, love, and fierce protectiveness of motherhood, and says it all with such humor. Black humor, mixed with angst and love. Not for everyone, though. Lots of expletives, and also God-talk.
