A Classic submitted by SBNB on July 10, 2012, 11:15am The Picture of Dorian Gray is a classic and an easy read. It kept my attention throughout the book and the ending was satisfying.

Wilde's great book.... submitted by MadMonkeyZ on June 22, 2018, 9:57am The Picture of Dorian Gray is a great book that shows life's secrects, though is still kind of is the comedy of manners… The book is kind of inappropriate to lttle kids so dont let them read it before highschool… or something like that… really is a good book, I love Lord Henry's philosophies...

Surprising book from Oscar Wilde submitted by Isabella Giviyan on July 27, 2018, 11:34am I was more familiar with Wilde's short stories and plays, so this book was not at all what I expected. It has his signature high-brow style, but decidedly more serious than his other, shorter works.

A Classic Worth Reading submitted by majean on August 9, 2018, 6:48pm I wasn't sure what I expected from this novel, but I was delighted.

Great book submitted by maggie_aa on August 25, 2018, 10:45pm fantastic, good book to read

Disturbing submitted by lstorc on August 27, 2018, 2:54pm This is disturbing because it's very relevant even today, especially if we look at the images we put out on the internet and how we portray our lives versus how we actually live them.

Stunning submitted by sydcha on August 3, 2019, 10:14am A stunning look into the raw human need for companionship, Dorian Gray gives a beautiful perspective on themes still relevant today. 10/10

Only the last three chapters are worth reading submitted by carcat15 on June 23, 2022, 2:32pm This book was very slow until the end. Wilde wrote an entire book on something that could have been written in a couple sentences. While I can appreciate books and movies that focus on character development rather than the plot, The Picture of Dorian Gray does not have any characters of substance, making this not a worthwhile read.

beautiful submitted by graytabby on August 7, 2022, 8:00pm i absolutely love wilde's writing style. it's a delightful book to read on a rainy day :)
