COMMUNITY REVIEWS
THe Most Difficult Book in the Tillerman Cycle submitted by Jan Wolter on June 18, 2013, 4:55pm I really love the series of books of which this is a part, but this entry is a hard book to love. It jumps back in time to examine the early life the uncle of the TIllerman children. If you've read the previous books in the series, you already know his fate, but even if you don't, this guy is hard to connect to. He has little love for anyone, seems only to want to run, but has nothing but disdain for coach, competitors and teammates. He does manage to grow a bit before the end of the book, and the story sheds a bit of light on the other books in the cycle.
Not my favorite submitted by tbbrown76 on July 12, 2014, 9:14pm but, he does grow a bit.
confusing submitted by arr on July 5, 2015, 4:44pm I found the main character of this story disconnected from any sense of community. His circumstances are dismal and actions are limited. I am not exactly sure what the author was trying to communicate about the main character. Racism is carefully brought to light with a hint of friendship. Discrimination is presented with various angles.
