COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Apart from the epic Love, Reign o'er Me, this one is surprisingly forgettable. submitted by lisa on August 12, 2019, 11:56am Personally I like the Who more as a song band than as a rock opera band.

Ooooooh...Rock Opera submitted by Meginator on August 31, 2019, 11:29pm Even if you don’t catch the full narrative that emerges over the course of the album, Quadrophenia feels inherently operatic, its sweeping scope evident as The Who take their core sound and push it forward in a lot of interesting directions. The instrumental tracks build on musical ideas first explored in the more traditional tracks, and the entire package feels inventive and engrossing. Listening to it now, you can tell the band was at the top of their creative power when cutting this record.
