COMMUNITY REVIEWS
My fave TMBG submitted by EJZ on July 28, 2018, 11:32pm Personally I think that though FLOOD is more accessible, Lincoln is the height of John and John's musical accomplishments. The songs are complex and nuanced in imagery, deep in concept, and fun earworms too. It's more conceptual than Flood, but it works.
Their Early work... submitted by jibkidder on June 13, 2022, 10:52am It can be hard to really "hear" these early TMBG records when by now they have established themselves so much and people have a lot of ideas about them as a band or a brand. But if you can sort of set aside your associations and really listen to these early records, they are crazy. If their songs were covered by looser, edgier outfits, it might be possible to perceive their songwriting abilities in a different way.
