Fun new twist submitted by pamelawright on July 19, 2016, 11:59am This was a creative book that made a classic story more interesting.

Fun submitted by AprilCDB on July 27, 2016, 11:43am Love reading the "other side of the story" though I don't recall the Big Bad Wolf eating the pigs in the original story, so it makes me wonder if it really was an accident.

Ironic Hilarity submitted by Meginator on August 5, 2017, 7:13pm This book is a very droll retelling of the three little pigs story, nicely illustrated with sepia tones that mimic the feel of faded newsprint. Some of the humor will fly over kids' heads, but most will enjoy what they can get out of it; adults who appreciate irony will love it. Be aware that the book does have a few slightly dark moments.

Droll text, ugly illustrations submitted by FordAlpha on July 11, 2018, 10:31pm Of course the wolf ate the first two pigs in the original story. Disney tidied things up with the pigs escaping to their brother's brick house, and most subsequent authors in the "Three Little Pigs" genre have followed that lead. But not Jon Scieszka, and I appreciate that. Kids seem to take the eating of the first two pigs right in stride, anyway. They delight in the wolf's self-absolving wickedness. I remember when this book was first published and was somewhat controversial for that very reason, but it's become a classic. However, I have never liked the illustrations. Sorry, they're just ugly. Call them "quirky" if you want to be charitable.

Interesting submitted by katey on June 24, 2019, 8:24pm A fun twist to a story we think we already know.

classic submitted by kevinhe on July 21, 2019, 4:17pm one of the best stories on the world.

The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs submitted by SBNB on June 14, 2020, 9:05pm My kids (6 and 3) love this book! It's fun and funny.

Love this book! submitted by Xris on August 28, 2020, 5:30pm I love when authors put a twist on an old favorite. This time, it's the wolf's allergies that are to blame for all the huffing and puffing. Hahaha!

Review from a 7 year old submitted by legalmama on June 15, 2021, 10:04pm This book is so hilarious! Like what about a cup of sugar and sneezing and doing a birthday cake when you have a cold ? Don't you just sneeze all over the powder and stuff?

So Funny submitted by kathscot on July 22, 2022, 9:56pm Hearing the wolf's side of the story changes things completely. But is he really telling us the truth?

Twisted Fairy Tale submitted by GSchne on July 23, 2022, 9:44pm It's a funny book with fun illustrations, but also a good lesson about perspective and perception.

Clever twist on a classic submitted by Bethybeth07 on July 24, 2022, 9:47pm Sometimes it's nice to see a story you know so well have a twist to it

Sassy submitted by suttonp on July 25, 2022, 1:46pm Fun and sassy re-telling of the tale. loved it
