Old Timey Chelsea submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2021, 9:49am This book features photographs of Chelsea dating roughly from the mid-1800s to the 1930s, alongside (usually) brief captions that provide some historical context and, when you’re lucky, a little bit of humor. The pictures show the downtown district, residences, people, and, quite memorably, various disasters. A few maps and comparable photographs provide visual insight into Chelsea’s growth during this period, and it’s fascinating to watch fashions change through the years. I recommend this to anyone interested in local history.
