The dark side of the sun

In this early work, Pratchett comes off a little smug, but still serves up a strangely Wizard-Of-Oz type adventure, in which going home again isn't quite what it appeared. The main character receives a prophecy that he will do great things, AFTER he dies. This puzzles and worries many people, not least the protagonist himself. Parts of the odyssey feature a sentient planet and a master race of Jokers who don't want to be found. A fine bit of light reading, and recommended especially for fans of Pratchett.
