Pink Floyd's crowning achievement submitted by kaeding on June 28, 2007, 7:35pm This is probably Pink Floyd's greatest work. Like The Who's Tommy, it tells the story of a young man psychologically damaged by the events in his youth, in this case, the rise of fascism in Europe. Tracks like Another Brick in the Wall (part 2) and Run Like Hell are rock standards, while tracks like Comfortable Numb bring in some of the psychedelic qualities that Pink Floyd was known for after Pigs and Dogs, and Dark Side of the Moon albums. The overall tone of the this double album is depression, but I like it.

The Wall - Pink Floyd cd submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on August 9, 2016, 2:50pm The Wall is a very heavy, biting, and gloomy album with bursts of manic energy and some deceptive calms. It's a brutal story told beautifully. A couple of my favorite tracks are "Mother" and "Vera." There are some well-known singles from it: "Another Brick In The Wall Pt. II," "Mother," "Young Lust," "Comfortably Numb" and more. But to listen to it and soak it in as a whole album is a heady experience.
