Great read

Incredible book that changed the way I saw the men and women who serve in the armed forces. Tragic, but well worth the read.

We read a chapter from this book in class, and I enjoyed it so much I checked it out from the library and read the whole thing. It's a great book of stories, but also has interesting commentary on stories themselves, and what makes a good story. Very thought provoking.

The prose is gorgeous, and the stories are fascinating: sometimes funny, sometimes heartbreaking, always beautiful.

Loved it

One of my favorite books, and I don't even consider myself a fan of war stories. The way this book is written is beautiful and fascinating.
